In the pursuit of inspiring young minds to embrace sustainable and eco-conscious career paths, the
“Career Guidance on Green Jobs Education” activity, hosted as part of the “We are ambassadors”
project, was a success. The activity took place in the vibrant city of Berlin and brought together 12
passionate participants from Germany, Turkey, Serbia, and Estonia.
During the intensive and immersive sessions, participants were equipped with the essential knowledge
and skills to guide young people towards environmentally conscious careers. The engaging workshops
delved into the role of creativity, arts-based methods, and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
in nurturing the young generation’s connection to nature and understanding the emotional aspect of
climate change.
One of the highlights of the activity was the study visit to the Euref campus in Berlin. The participants
were able to witness firsthand the impressive eco-friendly initiatives and innovative green technologies
employed on the campus. This visit left a lasting impact on the group, reinforcing their dedication to
promoting sustainability and motivating them to integrate similar concepts in their own communities.
Another pivotal session focused on campaigning and the creation of impactful campaigns. Participants
learned how to engage young people in civil discourse, leading to more effective decision-making for a
greener future. They explored successful models of climate-focused project-based learning and assessed
strategies to enhance young people’s literacy on sustainability matters.
The cross-cultural exchange during the activity allowed for the exchange of good practices and
experiences among the diverse group of youth workers and education staff from different European
countries. It fostered a supportive network of like-minded individuals determined to make a difference
in their local communities.
