About:
My interest in Youth Work and non-formal learning comes from my experiences, first as
a participant then as a Youth worker, in Youth in Action and Erasmus+ projects, started in 2012.
Thanks to these experiences, I started to work for a local youth organization as project
manager, as well as youth worker. My personal mission is to develop synergies between formal
and non-formal education in order to prevent exclusion, racism, discrimination and school drop-
out among youth.
Main tasks:
▪ Implementation of Youth in Action and Erasmus+ projects
▪ Design of European projects
▪ Writing articles in English and Italian for the weekly newsletter
▪ Dissemination activities about the projects through email, social networks and organization of
public events
▪ Support for the organization of international training courses, meetings and conferences
(arrange food and accommodation for the guests, inventory of the material used for the events,
book travel tickets and take care about the visas requests, arrange arrivals, departures and
pick-up, write minutes)
▪ Collecting data, analyzing, summarizing and reporting information.
Work experience
When acting as a yoth worker I am usually good at:
● organizing. I did a lot of projects fitted with diversity, participation, multinational,
alternative and creative self-organisation of the kids. I got a lot of helpful and positive
feedback and I liked this work.
● working in a dynamic situation. I am able to react within structure and responsibility in
unexpected situations. So I can name myself with a big resilience to stress in projects
and trainings.
● networking. Because having a good activated network is one of the most important parts
of working successfully at the international level. Therefore it is important to stay in touch
and develop topics that keep you in touch for the working period.
● Keeping the motivation of a group on a productive high level. In this case, I am acting as
a role model to show how a positive and funny attitude can help you to walk through the
hardest working process!
● Working with different target groups. In my past experience and jobs, I was able to
communicate, work, and teach very different groups of people. Starting from leaders of
companies with high influence in society, through colleges in all jobs, to young people
and adults with mental handicaps and social disorders.
Non-formal learning for me is a planned process, often designed by a team of trainers, which
still gives a lot of freedom and flexibility for individuals and groups to set up learning goals and
find out ways of learning.
Organizational skills
I have acquired skills and organizational skills in the various positions held and community life,
especially in the areas of planning (local, regional, national and international-program “Youth in
Action/Erasmus+”), the coordination and management of the organization and of various
activities (TC, Youth Exchange, Meetings and workshops workshops, …) at various levels (local,
inter-regional and international).
I also gained the ability to manage groups in coaching and developing training programs and
their logistics.
